MAINTENANCE

Keeping Big Bay Beautiful

Our Maintenance team is in charge of the upkeep and general maintenance of our beautiful bay, working closely with the City to ensure that normal services are delivered to Big Bay such as water, sewerage and electricity supply, road maintenance and refuse removal. The team also drives improvements and upgrades to the precinct such as additional sewerage storage capacity to prevent sewerage spills onto our beaches, replacing existing lighting with energy efficient lights, maximising parking areas, repairing beach facilities, fences and walkways and carrying out various small maintenance projects around the Big Bay area.

Latest:

The City has been approached to install stormwater drain nets in our area to capture pollution, which would be an ideal project for the City and Expanded Public Works Programme to endorse, which is already involved in cleaning the beaches of kelp each day.

Renovation of the pedestrian ramps at Blouberg forms part of several projects to beautify the area.
