Big Bay MPOA
The BBMPOA is an umbrella association whose members consist of the registered owners of all erven comprising the Big Bay Development. This association was a requirement from the local authority to provide a mechanism to make funds available for the upkeep and maintenance of public areas and for funding of additional services, as may be required by the property owners (e.g. dedicated security patrols). The concept is based on City Improvement Districts (CIDβs) and Residential Improvement Districts (RIDβs) that have been successfully introduced in other existing areas. Levies for this association are currently calculated at 9.75% of your annual rates. This will apply to every registered home owner in Big Bay. The Managing Agent is Trafalgar Property Management.

π₯Ά A chilly start at Big Bay parkrun tomorrow! π
Weβre expecting overcast and cold conditions, with temperatures around 8β9Β°C at our 08:00 start. Thereβll be an outgoing high tide, so weβll be somewhere between high and low tide when we get underway.
π§₯ Dress warmly and according to the conditions β especially before and after your run or walk. Once you get moving, the beautiful Big Bay coastline should take care of the rest!
β° Start: 08:00 sharp
π Big Bay, Eden on the Bay
π Run, jog or walk β everyone is welcome.
Please arrive early enough for the pre-run briefing and remember to take care on the beach and any wet or uneven sections of the course.
A huge thank you, as always, to our wonderful volunteers whoβll be out there in the cold making it all possible. π
See you on the beach tomorrow morning β dress warm and bring your parkrun spirit! ππββοΈπββοΈπΆ

We are doing all we can to try survive every month but its just getting worse and worse!
β’ We have 2 charity shops we work hard on getting donations for
β’ We do weekly adoption days and fundraising at various shopping centres
β’ Our farm is open Wednesday to Sunday for visitors and supporters
β’ We sell toys at adoption days and events for funds
β’ We sell second hand books on yaga for funds
β’ We sell pet products as our vets for funds
β’ We have a farm shop with lovely products for funds
β’ We have an active website to help rehome our adult dogs and cats at www.fallenangels.org.za
β’ We have an active face book and Instagram pages, you tube and tik tok channels
β’ We have an amazing group of volunteers that constantly share posts for us.
β’ We have back-a-buddy campaigns for vet bills
β’ We have foster programmes for dogs and cats on the farm
β’ We give school talks to educate students about animal welfare
β’ We do outreach helping animals in need
β’ We have trolleys in supermarkets to collect food
We do whatever and whenever we can.
But its just not enough!
We didnβt even have money for electricity today!
We donβt have petrol for our vehicles, we cannot pay our vet bills or staff salaries.
There are future steps to relocate to reduce our monthly expenses even more as we will be going completely off the grid as our electricity and water bills are over R50 000 a month.
The truth is we cannot afford to run anymore.
We CANNOT afford to take in new animals and are on complete lockdown until January due to taking in a very healthy looking litter of puppies that turned out to be desperately sick!
We are in SERIOUS trouble and truly HATE to beg every month!
We really really need your help!! A few more months and then we hope all our new permits are finalized with the municipality and we can completely re-invent ourselves.
Please Please Please HELP us! (And we are truly so sorry to have to ask again!)
If you can donate anything at all we will be so so grateful.

There is wonderful event on Sunday taking place at Big Bay (Blouberg), where kids from disadvantaged areas are going to get a chance to have a wonderful afternoon of:
- learning to surf
- learning to braai
- enjoying boerewors roll
- and spending some time in a safe and fun environment
An opportunity that would not come easily for them, if it was not for the amazing big-hearted people who are generously giving of their time to make this possible.
If you love surfing or love the beach or a braai, and want to help others enjoy these things, please by making a donation.
(See details on the flyer image)
Blessings
