Effective and consistent communication with our members on all things Big Bay is a key focus for our Communications Portfolio team via our social media channels, emails, newsletters and website, and our app-solutely fabulous BigBay APP!

Take a minute to scroll through our respective estates online newsletters which are often sent out monthly or so – we encourage you to ‘meet the neighbours’ and continue to ‘support local’, and make use of the services and products of the many small businesses in our area. A reminder that residents and members can often use the website to catch up on minutes from the AGMs, updates on the various portfolios and answers and insights to frequently asked questions about the Association.
GOAL OF THE COMMUNICATION SUB-COMMITTEE
Effective Communication with our members is a key focus area and the Communication Portfolio Trustee and his team have worked particularly hard during the year to achieve this priority.
To ensure effective communication by the Association to:
- All BBMPOA members who must receive Association-specific correspondence as well as appropriate general information communications at the right time, and
- Other Stakeholder groups i.e. Big Bay tenants, general public/visitors who must receive appropriate general information at the right time.
During the past year under review, 18 email communications were sent to each member on subjects ranging from Security updates, to Eskom power maintenance & water disruption notices, to copies of Trustee Meeting Minutes.
If you are not receiving your email please contact the managing agent to make sure your email address and particulars are correct and up-to-date. Or check your spam box to make sure the emails are not incorrectly being marked as spam.
Social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and our website are well established, updated daily/weekly and the numbers of ‘followers’ increases month-on-month. These platforms provide the latest Big Bay and BBMPOA related information as well as provide a place for all members, tenants and visitors to inform and share ideas.
Our website is being revamped and all our communications platforms are integrating nicely with one another.
